Our first foray into corporate design had us working with the people who bring you sugar (well… honey, at least), spice, and all things flavourful. While McCormick has developed into a cutting edge flavour company, the lobby of their London, Canada facility did not represent their current progressive nature.
Following the design brief presentation we were struck with the juxtaposition of McCormick’s ‘hand made’ history set against it’s current progressive nature. This became the inspiration for the lobby design as we sought to demonstrate the value of the company’s history as it informs and inspires today’s standards.
Key design elements include: a reception desk facade made with small randomized wood blocks set behind a quartz ‘podium’; custom wallpaper with a black and white collage of images depicting McCormick’s strong and storied history; planters filled with live plants; alongside modern furnishings and presentation elements that illustrate the company’s current progressive nature within the industry.
Design concept images follow, with portfolio images of the completed space yet to come.
