Nate’s @ The Market
In an effort to break a stalemate between two design concepts for the current Nate’s Shawarma, a long-time fixture at London, Canada’s Covent Garden Market, we are crowdsourcing the design. Well, sort of. Call it what you will, but we need your votes to help the proprietors determine the new look of the restaurant soon to be known as Nate’s @ The Market.
Two design concepts are illustrated and described below. After reviewing both, please take the time to vote below for the concept that you prefer. The winning design will be announced on Monday, August 12th.
CONCEPT 1 – A steel framework and bold way finding text serve to clearly delineate the diverse food offerings available at Nate’s. Industrial materials suit the broader market space while glossy white surfaces in the work areas promote cleanliness and organization.
CONCEPT 2 – A bulkhead of plywood fins with randomly placed lights tucked inside provides the backdrop for clear way finding text. At the counter the fins are repeated in white on a plywood background. Surfaces in the work areas are again treated in a glossy white to convey cleanliness.
