Unlike the modern exterior of this substantial home, the peach marble that had run amok through the lobby when we first viewed the interior was a shocking jolt of 1980′s reality found throughout most of the home. View images of the home as we first found it here.
We were charged by the new owners with the task of modernizing the vast interior, with priority to be given to the main floor public spaces and the master suite. Thankfully a well-designed kitchen had been installed 5 years prior, requiring only new counter tops.
The entire home was painted, stair rails were streamlined, counter tops, flooring, fireplaces and light fixtures replaced, and the master suite redesigned. Though finishing details and furniture purchases are still being addressed, the interior of this home is now definitely better aligned with the exterior architecture.
