‘Good things come in pairs’, ‘two for the price of one’ – just two of the platitudes that surfaced when presented with the opportunity to design the Park View Houses. Quite obviously, the exteriors of the two soon-to-be neighboring houses are mirror images of one another. The driving design concept was that of slicing a single home with a traditional roof line into equal and identical halves.
As an urban infill project the design sought to respect and reference the traditional and historic surrounding homes via the combined roof pitch and choice of the primary exterior cladding. While these are preliminary designs, we are hopeful that the two homes will be built just as designed.
